General conditions
A manuscript is understood as the original text submitted for publication in the journal.
Submission of a manuscript for consideration implies authorization for its potential publication and dissemination in both digital and print formats, the non-exclusive transfer of copyright for its distribution, and full acceptance of the editorial policies established by the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo” (UCB) and the journal, including adherence to these policies.
The content, data, and opinions expressed in the manuscripts are the sole responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the institutional position of the UCB, the Institute for Democracy, the editors, or the journal.
Submitted research must meet the standards required for peer review, be original, belong in authorship to those identified in the manuscript, and comply with ethical and academic integrity principles. Likewise, manuscripts must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted for consideration elsewhere, except in cases explicitly permitted in the Ethics and Good Practices section.
Authors must identify themselves by indicating their institutional affiliation. Those without one must declare themselves independent researchers. Authors are also required to include their ORCID identification number, which can be obtained free of charge at https://orcid.org.
The official publication languages of the journal are Spanish and English; however, the journal reserves the right to publish in other languages when appropriate.
The journal primarily publishes research that has been anonymously and favorably evaluated for its formal, substantive, and methodological merit by academic peers. Each publication will include the dates of manuscript submission and approval.
All communication between the journal, authors, and reviewers will be conducted via email.
Manuscript submission is continuous. The journal reserves the right to determine the order and timing of publication for approved manuscripts, taking into account the natural timeframe of the review–correction–approval process, as well as the editorial organization of each issue, according to the journal’s editorial criteria.
The journal is fully funded by the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo”, La Paz Campus, and the Institute for Democracy of the UCB. Submission, peer review, and publication processes are entirely free of charge.
