Peer Review Process

REVIEW POLICY

The editorial board will evaluate the manuscript and may accept or reject it according to its merits and the profile of the journal. The editorial board may exercise this power at any time until before the publication of the manuscript and does not need to give reasons for its decision. Once the article is accepted by the board, it must be submitted to international peer review following the double blind peer review, in such a way that conflicts of interest do not arise. In case of acceptance, the manuscript will be edited and sent to an academic peer reviewer. To issue their evaluations, the arbitrators will have a reasonable period according to the complexity and length of the manuscript. The observations communicated to the authors must be corrected within a reasonable time to be established by the editor. The journal will grant criteria for the academic peer review regarding clarity, coherence (between what is proposed, analyzed and concluded), logical and ordered structure, relevance and pertinence, methodology and scientific rigor, sustenance, adequate sources, academic discussion on findings, supported conclusions and originality (contribution and novelty) of the research. The opinion on the research by academic peers must be motivated. The possible decisions of the opinion on the manuscript are:

a) acceptance for publication

b) publishable with minor corrections

c) publishable after substantial revision

d) rejection of publication.

The journal´s Manuscript Evaluation Form for Academic Peers must be completed, signed and sent by the academic peer. The editor will communicate the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript to whoever submitted it to the journal for review and publication and may keep the motivation of the opinion confidential.
